We are thrilled to present some of our favourite musicians performing from their home studios & the Silk Purse in a monthly series on Thursdays at 10:30am! Concerts will be livestreamed directly to you. Stay tuned for more line-up announcements.

They have selected programmes that inspire, entertain & offer some respite from the anxieties of these uncertain times.     While working as a radio documentary producer for 35 years at the CBC, writer & performer Don Mowatt had hundreds of encounters with colourful characters in extraordinary circumstances. Encounters is based on Mowatts' true tales of a bear, a family of skunks, ghosts, Haida artist Bill Reid, a famous theatrical artist in Paris, and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

    The tales are interspersed with performances of works by North Shore composer Michael Conway Baker by pianist Noel McRobbie & violinist Domagoj Ivanovic.
