Yeonmi Kim is a multidisciplinary artist working in wood, painting, textiles & mixed media. Her work in Sewstainability at the Silk Purse Arts Centre, addresses the threats to our oceans from both the climate crisis & plastics pollution through transforming discarded plastic into 2D wall pieces of maps of locations showing the sever effects of climate change.

Jackie Wong is an artist & educator whose practice includes photography, painting & ceramics. In The Spaces Between Us at the West Vancouver Art Museum, Wong's photographs of clouds, resulting from disasters & transformed into photo-based watercolours, as well as her photographs of orbs, question the factual nature of photography & explore the ways in which our perceptions of scenes shape our engagement with the natural world.
