Mixed media artists Laura Clark & Monica Nudelman explore the passage of time, memory & the emotions we experience while confronting those concepts through artwork rich with imagery & multiple layers of materials.

Laura Clark is a Vancouver photo-based artist whose practice focuses on the fleeting existence of time & space, observing the remnants we leave behind, revealing the change & transformation that takes place to shape thought, recollections & surroundings. Her evocative photographs explore the symbolism & meaning of flowers in the occasions of life & death - in celebration, in memory, & in mourning. Clark further explores this theme through multi-layered sculptural pieces combining her photographs with resin & fresh/artificial flowers.

Monica Nudelman is a North Vancouver based mixed media artist whose artwork examines concepts relating to cycles, notions of being, & relationships that intertwine with the past, present & future through the transformation of unwanted materials. Her bold & colourful works are compositional & textural experiments, using acrylic paint, papers, fabrics, reclaimed wood, furniturecollage & paper mâché. Nudelman's engagement with the restoration & renewal of  vintage materials & discarded waste pulls memories into the present as prospects for the future.
