Join us for a shoreline walk & gallery tour to reconsider what may be underneath our ocean surface & how art can be tool for advocacy.

Meet Amy Liebenberg from the Squamish Arts Council, Henry Wang from Divers for Cleaner Lakes and Oceans, & Ruth Simons from Átl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative Society, under the canopy beside the Silk Purse at 11am to start the walk along the Ambleside shoreline, as they offer insights on environmental sustainability & issues currently affecting our oceans.

The short walk returns to the Silk Purse Gallery to meet artists Cath Hughes & Monica Gewurz, & view the touring exhibition  Diving In: Turning Trash into Treasure comprised of ocean trash reimagined as innovative works of art.

This event is free & requires registration.

Attendees are recommended to wear a mask.
