Encounters Ⅱ: Stories by Don Mowatt with Music by Michael Conway Baker

Stories of the extraordinary people we meet along life's journey can be told in many forms. Encounters Ⅱ is another exciting collaboration between storyteller Don Mowatt & composer Michael Conway Baker, with musical performances by pianist Noel McRobbie & violinist Ken Lin.

Acclaimed CBC documentarian, author & performer Don Mowatt shares true tales of human connection including his father's kidnapping in order to preside over a wedding & Mowatt's journey of knowledge sharing with communities of the Nisga'a Nation.

These stories are interspersed with pianist Noel McRobbie & violinist Ken Lin performing award-winning North Shore composer Michael Conway Baker's The Flight of Aphrodite, & Four Portraits, opus 133 which was commissioned by violin virtuoso Donna Grescoe to portray her three siblings & herself.
