Pianist & composer Tony Foster, originally from North Vancouver now based in Seattle, brings his fantastic trio to the intimate setting of the Silk Purse. Joining Tony will be bassist Sean Drabbitt (Victoria/NYC), & local Vancouver star jazz drummer Joe Poole! These talented musicians will be covering material from some of the great jazz pianists of our time, with a special tribute to Ahmad Jamal. Jamal’s playing has heavily influenced not only the band, but the entire jazz world. They'll also put thier spin on works of the greatest jazz pianists including McCoy Tyner, Oscar Peterson, Phineas Newborn Jr., Erroll Garner, & Art Tatum!
