Journey into the mind of Bach to explore his treasured Sinfonias in this unique lecture/recital. Pianist & educator Dr. Sergei Saratovsky will guide us through the history, analysis, & interpretation of this wonderful collection. 

You won't want to miss this inspiring event!

Doors open at 4:30 pm. Event commences at 4:50 pm.

Dr. Sergei Saratovsky

A winner of numerous awards, Sergei Saratovsky is recognized both in Canada & abroad as “a player of gargantuan proportions”. Saratovsky has performed for audiences in Europe, Australia, & North America, & has been the featured artist on radio & television broadcasts aired across the world. In addition to his performing career, Saratovsky enjoys giving master classes & is in demand as a guest clinician & jury member of international & national competitions & festivals. After the completion of the doctoral studies, he has continued his scholarly research activities through journal publications & participation in the international conferences. Currently, Saratovsky serves as Co-Chair of the Piano Department at the VSO School of Music where he mentors & guides the advanced students in their musical studies.
