Colour transcends language & culture - capturing feeling, frequency & energy - to resonate & on a deeper level. Through dazzling riots of chroma, dynamic hue & tone studies, & layered design compositions these abstract artists reach out to make connections.

Deb Chaney is a mixed media abstract painter & teacher based in Gabriola Island, whose works are composed of many layers & textures inspired by her journey to reach her authentic self. Starting with a specific colour for its particular healing frequency, Chaney intuitively builds & takes away layers of acrylics & mixed media; in washes, pencil marks, pastels, charcoal, spray paint & more. Each painting in her Dishtri series involves colour, layers of texture & sacred geometry marks; each creating an electromagnetic field & vibrational frequency for healing.

Alini Garcia is an emerging abstract artist with Brazilian roots, based in Vancouver, whose work serves as a medium for expressing personal stories & emotions. Through the interplay of vibrant compositions & diverse techniques, primarily acrylics & oil pastels with some mixed media elements, Garcia aims to utilize art as a catalyst for empathy & introspection. With each brushstroke & colour choice, she embarks on a journey of self-exploration, extending an invitation to viewers to join her on this transformative path.

Tamara Grand is a Port Moody based abstract artist who creates vibrant, colourful & joy-filled paintings characterized by transparent layers & whimsical, organic shapes that evoke a sense of depth & mystery. Fascinated by glass - from the transparency & vivid colours of stained-glass windows to the opaqueness & weathered textures of sea glass - Grand attempts to capture its duality. Fragile yet durable, vulnerable yet strong, she hopes viewers will reflect on the dichotomies within that make us whole.

Roman Rozumnyj is a West Vancouver artist, interior designer & set decorator whose works are influenced by world travel, strong chroma, heavy textures & the manipulation of diverse media. Alternating between precise, measured applications & using the force of gravity to drip paint onto surfaces allows him the freedom to experiment. Pattern, rhythm & colour relationships are key elements to Rozumnyj's artistic expression, allowing him to paint what he can't explain in words.
