Richard Brodeur

Sladjana Buhovac

Beshid Farahangian

Three North Shore artists capture the stunning landscape & scenery through their unique visions .

Richard Brodeur is an expressive painter working in oils & acrylics who is also a former NHL goalie, best known for leading the Vancouver Canucks to the 1982 Stanley Cup Final. Brodeur draws inspiration from the spirit of nature, capturing the energy & life of seascapes & forests with gestural marks, thick layers of paint & striking colours.

Sladjana Buhovac is a sculptor born in Sarajevo, now based in West Vancouver. Having discovered a love of watercolour painting 3 years ago, she has fully embraced the medium. Buhovac exploration of painting led to this series of scenes from her daily walks in West Vancouver, some in dramatic colours while others are in stark gerytones.

Behshid Farhangian is an Iranian-Canadian artist based in West Vancouver, whose work explores the vibrant intersection of colour, texture & emotion. This collection of warm & lively landscape paintings invites the viewer to step into diverse outdoor settings, from local to tropical, where the movement & energy of nature are captured in the textures & colours of the environment.

Plan your visit to the Kay Meek Arts Centre. The exhibition spans the PARK Retirement Living Atrium & lobby to the McEwan Theatre lobby downstairs.
